I'm so glad when daddy comes home...

Glad as I can be!  give him raspberries on his tummy... tie his feet

and sit right on his face!
My girls definitely love their daddy time in the evening!

Early Thanksgiving!

Our friend Seth Howell is leaving for a deployment tomorrow so, we had an early Thanksgiving dinner for him so he didn't feel so left out.  Our friends Mike and Debbie Ward hosted and planned the party and we had a lot of fun socializing with friends and just enjoying some yummy food.  We of course couldn't forget Brandon Cyr (poster) as he is currently deployed.  I'm pretty sure we'll never be able to have a "co-pilot" party again with everyone present.

Little Angels!

Fine! You can play with the worms!

Never thought that was something we would say to our girls!  Dan has worms for fishing and Callen begs to play with them and talk to them..so funny.  Jordan even wanted in on the action!  (don't worry I disinfected the counter afterwards!)

Feeding the Geese!!

We went down to Mascoutah Lake and fed the Geese.  We couldn't lure them out of the water but the girls still had a lot of fun!

Halloween 2011

We hosted a Halloween themed playgroup at our house this year and I had alot of fun coming up with some creepy treats for the kids!  I forgot to take a picture of the mummy dogs but here are some of the other creations!

Family Pictures

These are Definitely not great since all we did was set up the tripod but we needed some more up to date pictures to put up so here we are!!

Harvest Festival

A group called Little Patriots Embraced held a harvest festival in Brighton, IL.  Sadly, not many families showed up because they had gone to alot of work and it was a great time!  We did however enjoy the special one on one treatment!  There were horse drawn wagon rides and tractor wagon rides.  there was a lake to fish in (dan did catch a couple of catfish!).  They had kids games and prizes, a pumpkin cannon, a fire for s'mores and a pen full of goats, camels, kangaroos, and baby bison for the kids to feed carrots to!  They also fed us lunch.  It really was a great family day!

Callen got to push the button to fire the pumpkin cannon!

Sister Love

The other day I was trying to get some cleaning done and Jordan kept bringing me books to read.  Finally I told her I would read to her in just a minute.  Callen chimed in "I can read to you Jordan."   Jordan took her book to Callen and climbed up next to her.  Callen (from memory)  "read" the book almost word for word to her little sister.  It was the most precious thing ever!  Love my girls!
